TINY DANCERS

  • This class is designed as a relaxed introduction to dance. Children will learn basic tap and ballet steps, along with modern movements designed to help strengthen muscles, limber the body, develop balance, grace, and self expression.

    Ages 3-4

    55 minute class.

    Shoes Needed: any color tap shoes, white ballet shoes

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

  • This class is designed as a relaxed introduction to dance. Children will learn basic tap and ballet steps, along with modern movements designed to help strengthen muscles, limber the body, develop balance, grace, and self expression. This class is taught at a higher degree of difficulty than the preschool class and students progress into more advanced steps.

    Ages 5-6

    55 minute class.

    Shoes Needed: tan tap shoes, any color ballet shoes

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

  • This class is designed as a relaxed introduction to Acro/Gymnastics. Children will learn basic tumbling and gymnastics skills. This class focuses on limbering and strengthening the muscles, balance, coordination, and proper technique. Each student’s progression is tailored to them.

    Ages 3-5

    55 minute class.

    Shoes Needed: White gym shoes

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

We recommend writing your child’s name on the inside of all of their shoes before your first class. Please be sure your dancer brings their own bag to hold their belongings. Both Preschool and Kindergarten classes wear tap shoes first and then change into their ballet shoes; teachers will provide assistance, if needed. We highly recommend taking students to the restroom prior to the start of class. Please visit our Class Schedule page for available days and times.

  • Ballet is the basis of technique for almost all other styles of dance and gives dancers the grace, discipline and confidence to be proficient in a multitude of areas. We focus on barre work, floor work, classical ballet movements, flexibility, strength and confidence. Our classes are designed to act as building blocks to the dancer’s knowledge and talent as they progress in dance. We encourage all of our students to enroll in ballet.

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

    Shoes: pink ballet slippers

    Beginner: Students with no previous or limited training. Ages 6 and up. 45 or 60 minute class.

  • Tap is highly focused on rhythm, tempo, and technique. Our classes focus on developing ankle strength and differentiating between sounds through a variety of down the floor and center of the room exercises and combinations. Movements will become more and more complex and precise as dancers advance.

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

  • Jazz technique is rooted in ballet with the biggest difference being the parallel positions of the feet instead of turned out. Our classes focus on traditional jazz movements, such as leaps, kicks, turns and jumps and isolating different parts of the body. Choreography ranges from highly stylized, classical jazz to more current, trendy combinations.

    Attire: leotard and tights (any color)

    Shoes: tan jazz shoes

    Beginner: Students with no previous or limited training. Ages 6 and up. 45 or 60 minute class.

  • Our acro/gym classes are designed to promote proper technique and form during tumbling. We utilize warmups to strengthen and limber the body to properly prepare for each class. Skills and tricks are developed on both mats and trampolines. We start with basic moves, such as somersaults and bridges and work with each individual to develop into more complex passes, such as back handsprings and tucks. Classes are determined based upon age. Each student’s progression is tailored to them.

    Shoes: white gym shoes

  • This class is designed to incorporate the various styles of hip hop movement and keeps up with the latest trends and techniques. There is a large emphasis on combinations and choreography. Students are learning in a fast paced environment.

    Attire: activewear

    Beginner: ages 6 and up. 30 minute class. Must take ballet or jazz to participate.

  • Our lyrical style of dance is a combination of movements from both ballet and jazz as a form of storytelling. The choreography is inspired by the lyrics of the music to emphasize the emotions of the dancers as their movements build visualization and feeling in the audience.

    Must take ballet and jazz to participate.

  • Modern dance utilizes expression through movement. Our class is designed for dancers to learn abstract, contemporary movement that challenges traditional dance technique.
